It’s amazing how quickly it came upon us. My son’s first birthday! Our own LifEvent to celebrate! So, did the Soiree Specialists throw a big party? Nah, for his 1st birthday we decided to just do a simple soiree. Can you call a kid’s birthday party a soiree? Sure, why not.
We decided to spend the day at the Children’s Zoo with family. It’s different than a traditional party, but it still takes some organizing (and fun Monkey invitations). Cake, petting zoo, family and a one year old – add a little sunshine, and it was a perfect day!
Well, almost perfect. My husban recently had surgery on his ankle and I was lucky enough to push him around the zoo in a wheelchair. I have to say though, it was better than walking at a snail’s pace with him on crutches;) I certainly got a workout that day and we all slept quite soundly.
