While most places provide linens, they are usually just plain white linens (tip: always ask if they are floor length linens. Linens that don’t go to the floor show those ugly table legs and can ruin the overall look of your room). If the money is in the budget, we always recommend taking a look at other linen options from a rental company. However, what if the money isn’t in the budget for that, but you do have a little extra. We have 2 options of the same ilk. We’re talking about overlays. Overlays are significantly less expensive and will help your room to pop with your wedding colors. Are you looking for something even less expensive? If you’re willing to put in some DIY work, then we suggest purchasing nice fabric (like satin) at the fabric store, and some easy no-sew tape to make a hem (easier and quicker than actually sewing and looks very nice). To determine the size of overlay you need check out this nifty chart from weparty.com – http://www.weparty.com/guides/planningguide_linensize.pdf.
Measure, cut, iron, follow the instructions on the easy no-sew tape for a nice hem. Ask the location if they can lay the overlays. If not, have your hired day-of wedding coordinator place the overlays for you. Whallah!
