Well, as promised, I put together a simple, pretty beach centerpiece in honor of my weekend getaway. The house we’re staying had a nice sized vase, hollowed out candle and a battery operated votive. I went out to the beach gathered a bit of sand and filled the vase about 1/8 full with sand, put the candle in the center, surrounded the candle with shells, then tied a bit of raffia around the top of the vase. This would be a great centerpiece for a very casual beach themed wedding – pretty and simple. I found these items around this beach house that is a vacation rental. Imagine what great items you can find around your own house. Remember, depending on the style of your wedding or event, you don’t have to have matching centerpieces for every table.
