Are you having a brightly colored, fun-filled wedding where the party won’t stop till the wee hours? Are going for that Miami vibe with cool lounge furniture and awesome uplighting? Then your signature drink should be the Cuban Mojito for sure. In this recipe, there’s an added little twist that will allow you to personalize it to your own wedding colors – use the right color fruit and whallah, it’s yours all yours.
Bright citrus with a backdrop of cool mint – Cuba’s signature drink and once a favorite of Hemingway, the mojito never fails to refresh.
Serves 1
Ingredients
- 3 fresh mint sprigs
- 2 tsp sugar
- 3 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1½ oz. light rum
- club soda
Procedure
Place mint leaves, sugar and lime juice in glass. Using a muddler, gently crush. Add crushed ice followed by rum then stir. Top with club soda. Garnish with a mint sprig and serve.
Twist: add fresh pineapple, papaya, mango or other fresh fruit.
