Number 1 on the list for most romantic is a place I’ve actually been and I can attest to the romance – the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa. Stay in an over water bungalow to really make the trip romantic – they even provide snorkeling equipment and a little ladder so you can snorkel right under your bungalow. If it’s a cooler day, you can just sit out on your balcony and watch the fish under your feet because there is a window in your balcony and the water is very clear. One caveat, Moorea is a slow-paced island, so if you’re looking for a bit of change during your honeymoon, we highly suggest splitting your time between Bora Bora and Moorea. However, if all you want to do is laze about in the sand, play some water activities, take in a hike then stay here the whole time – we did. The Dolphin Quest activity is quite the experience and one of the best things was the hike we took to Mouaputa. The hotel or the shuttle driver can help you set up a great guided hike. We also took advantage of the spa and found it very calming and I really liked how it was set so that you feel like you’re in the elements.
