FRESH TABLE TAKE OUT, CENTERPIECES,

SUPER EASY, AND MAKES QUITE A STATEMENT !

How fun to celebrate New Years twice! Chinese New Year is just around the corner and here’s a perfect table center piece for your celebration. Order Chinese take out for a no fuss meal, arrange your flower take out boxes down the center of the table, sprinkle a few fortune cookies around each box and wait for all the o-o-o’s and awes-s-s ! They also make great party gifts as your guests leave.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Florist foam
  • Chinese take out boxes
  • Bunch of roses, real or artificial
  • Reindeer moss, light green
  • Chopsticks
  • Knife
  • Ribbon

HERE’S WHERE TO GET IT

*All items but chopsticks were found at Micheal’s Craft Store.
(Most large craft stores will have these items, but if you can’t find them, you can get them from asianideas.com & mood moss at 1888Orchids.com)
*Chopsticks can be found at, asianideas.com (Or ask for extra ones when you order your Chinese food !)

INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE IT

  1. Place florist foam, cut to size, inside of box. (If using real flowers, soak foam in water for 30 min. and place wax paper around foam so water won’t seep through box.)
  2. Push rose stems into center of foam.
  3. Fold down sides of box and tuck moss around the roses.
  4. Stick the chopsticks in between the roses.
  5. Tie a ribbon around the box or to the metal handle.

TIP: Cut florist foam a bit larger than the bottom of the box so when you push it in,  it fits snugly.
