Flowers, linen, chairs, colors…all this and more goes into making your wedding day beautiful, but an often overlooked and inexpensive way to really make your day WOW is lighting. I can’t stress lighting enough as a way to really add impact to a room. There is the obvious of soft lighting and lots of candles, but even just adding a few uplights in your wedding colors in the corners of the room makes a HUGE difference. I once had a bride who was nice enough to listen to me in this arena even though she wasn’t convinced. After the wedding, she emailed to let me know that she was so happy she listened to that piece of advice. Yes, you’ll have to work it into your budget, but the impact it makes is so dramatic, you will be able to scale back a bit somewhere else to fit it in – trust me, it’s worth it!
