Every year for Christmas, I wrap our presents in what I think is pretty brown butcher paper and then decorate it with various color of ribbon, and decorate the paper with inked stamps.  I love the look of these presents under the tree and it allows me to be creative with them at the same time.  This look inspires a very ‘recycled’ or eco-conscious look and we are seeing more and more that not only do brides want to be green, but they also are quite inspired by the au naturel style.  In that vain, we wanted to create for all you DIY’ers some inspiration for your green, recycled, au naturel wedding.

Chic Recycled Placecard & Table Numbers

Corrugated brown paper or cardboard
Cording, from old rug if your recycling
Paper, velum tan or tan paper
Card stock paper, white.
Ribbon 1/4″ Mocha brown
Foam dots, adhesive
Decorative scissors
Glue stick or Scrapbook roller tape

If your into recycling, have fun looking in your local second hand shop for a shag rug that you can cut apart and sometimes you will find great sewing trimmings, cording and ribbon. Your local craft or scrapbook store should also have it all, the velum paper, corrugated paper and card stock and any embellishments you can’t find at the second hand store.

For the Large Table #:  Cut corrugated paper. Bottom piece- 4″ x 7″. Middle piece- 2 1/4″ x 7″ Top piece- 4″ x 2 1/4″. Roll ends of first 2 pieces and glue to each other, in center.
Cut velum paper with decorative scissors to 3 1/2″ x 2″. Cut 2 pieces of cord to 3 1/2″.
Print out table #’s and cut to 3 1/2″ x 1 1/4″.
Glue velum to corrugated 4″ x 2 1/4″ paper. Glue table number to velum. Glue cording to top and bottom of table #. Then glue it to the top of the 2nd piece of  corrugated paper.
Fold over small black easel on the table.
*Small table number or escort card.
Follow instructions for Top piece, cutting and gluing corrugated paper, velum, cording and white paper printed with table number, the same way. Then place in small black easel.

For the Menu card:  Cut corrugated paper to Bottom piece size. Cut 2 cards from white card stock with your decorative scissors, 1- 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ and the other piece a bit smaller. Stick adhesive dot between white card stock paper. Cut velum, or tan paper (whichever you are using) printed with menu on it, to 1 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ and glue to the smaller piece of card stock. Glue all to the piece to corrugated paper in the center.
Tie ribbon into a small bow and glue to the left side of the menu card.
