Eat, Drink and be Merry. Thresh winnow and mill some wheat because 20 percent of the proceeds will be contributed to the wheat hARvesT project. Enjoy lunch, dinner or stop by the bar to help support this local project.

About this project:
Who knew that you could grow wheat in the mid-city of San Diego? David Krimmel, a community artist and wishful farmer, is doing just that. A vacant lot in North Park is being transformed into a field of wheat. Straw bales have been cored out and planted with wheat with the proposal that they be placed in the community business district.
What started as David’s desire to truly understand what it would take to grow, hand harvest and process grain for a loaf of bread has evolved into a community event planned for September 11th, when the community will be invited to help in the harvest festivities at the Art Produce Gallery.
To learn more about this project please join David at the Sea Rocket Bistro on April 11th. Locally grown grain and hand milling will be available. All ages are welcome.
