This is a quick and easy spring centerpiece idea that will cut down on the cost of lots of flowers and will still provide lovely ambience with the touch of candlelight.  The secret to this centerpiece is saran wrap, yes, saran wrap.

This centerpiece was created using the following items:

one large clear cylindrical vase
one smaller cylindrical candle vase**
votive candle**
saran wrap
water
three orchids
3″ wide fuschia ribbon
glue gun/glue or sticky tabs (found at craft or floral stores)

**In place of the cylindrical candle vase, you can use a smaller clear cylindrical vase and a floating candle.**

The look was accomplished as follows:

first measure, cut and glue the ribbon around the base of the outer vase.  Next, you’ll want to fill both vases with water (if you only fill the outer one, the vase on the inside will want to float) be sure not to fill to the edge of the inner vase.  Next, ball up a bunch of saran wrap and fit it around the perimeter of the inside vase.  This vase wasn’t completely filled and more saran wrap should have been used to really give it an unique look.  Place three flowers of your choice on top of the saran wrap so that they are just floating in the water.  Finally, place a floating candle inside the inner vase.
