{Charities} Donation of Love – The 1 Million Pillowcase Challenge

There are great giving back projects that are super easy and give back in a big way. “The 1 Million Pillow Case Challenge” is one of them. I am going to contribute to this cause and will share my pillow cases with you when they are completed. If you belong to a sewing group, get them involved too!

American Patchwork & Quilting is challenging you to join their efforts to Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference. Every pillowcase can make a difference in your community. A pillowcase can provide comfort for a cancer patient, hope for a foster child, encouragement for a battered woman, or beauty for a nursing home resident. Once your pillowcases are complete and donated locally, (“Rosie’s Calico Cupboard” is one of the donation drop off sites), you log onto the American Patchwork & Quilting  site to enter how many pillowcases you made. Help reach the goal of ONE MILLION Pillowcases. This site even gives you free download pillow case patterns!

If you plan on participating, we would love to hear your pillowcase plans and send in your pictures to us too!
