{Feast} Garden & Spring Wedding Cakes

With spring and summer months upon us, garden themed weddings are also in season.  I love garden themed weddings and love that they lend themselves to a lot of fun DIY crafts.  However, don’t try to DIY your wedding cake.  The skill that goes into these beauties require a lot of education and knowledge.  Here are some garden themed wedding cakes to give you some inspiration for your own wedding cake. 

The Butterfly Garden wedding cake and the butterfly cupcakes are absolutely stunning!  I found these cake pictures on Cakesbylorinda.com.au’s flickr site where she has posted an amazing array of the most beautiful and whimsical cakes.  

The Green Garden Wedding Cake is another pretty cake perfect for a spring garden wedding.  If your one of wedding colors are green, this cake is lovely.  Depending on your other colors, you could always change out the ribbon to match – green cake, brown ribbon or green cake, pink ribbon (or pink flowers) and so on.  I don’t know the cake designer, but found this cake at Polkadotbride.com 

I LOVE lavender flowers.  The Lavender Wedding Cake is so simply sweet for a garden wedding.  I imagine the bride carrying a bouquet with the lovely smelling lavender tucked in and the guests throwing the sweet smelling lavender seeds instead of rice (better for the environment and the birds) when the newlywed couple walks down the aisle.  This cake was designed by jollybebakery and the photo was taken by Alexandra Grablewski Photography.

This final picture is a cake made by pinkcakebox.com.  I love the use of cupcakes as well as regular cakes for the two top tiers.  The way they designed the butterflies to look like they’re actually flying and landing is beautiful.  This cake design would be perfect for an very natural setting garden themed wedding.
