Lanterns just seem to be everywhere this spring! I love outdoor weddings, picnics, birthday parties, charitable events, etc. out in the warm night air.  Lanterns lend themselves to these and so many other gatherings.

Here are a few quick tips for using lanterns in your party decor:  Place lanterns in a group. Stick with an odd numbers of lanterns. Add bamboo stalks and place them in a tall pot for a large decorative accessory. Decorating with bamboo throughout your space gives your area continuity and compliments the lanterns.

I’ve put together a collection of places where you can find beautiful, different, whimsical and colorful lanterns.

Frontgate, is one of my favorite catalogs,  I could buy something off every page, including their beautiful renaissance lanterns.

The glow of Moonlight Solar Lanterns from “Garden Basket”, is not only a great green option, but the silk effects that come in different shapes and sizes in the shimmery metallics are over the top, and of course they also come in beautiful bright colors.

Then there are glass & metal lanterns from Outer Banks Trading Group, bamboo from Jason Home and Garden tin from Z GAllery,  handwoven natural arurong from Frontgate… so many different types that we couldn’t possibly put all that I found. So here are a just a sprinkling of what is out there to make your party sparkle and make the night come alive with a glow.
