If you’re looking to add a little pep and pizzaz to your game day snack, try these Chipotle Spiced Peanuts from  Allergic to peanuts?  Try cashews or almonds, I bet they would be good too.  Or, even the old game day mix stand-by – Chex cereal.

Chipotle Spiced Nuts

Chili Spiced Nuts

Cook: 15 minutes
Yield: 12 to 14 servings
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons chipotle seasoning or chili powder
1 teaspoon ground red pepper
3/4 to 1 teaspoon sea salt
6 cups unsalted dry roasted peanuts
1. Heat butter over low heat until melted. Add olive oil, chili powder, red pepper and salt.

2. Place peanuts in a large mixing bowl. Add butter mixture, mixing well. Spread nuts on a lightly greased large baking sheet. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes, stirring often.
