Tape greeting paper to pattered paper.

Tis the season…for baking up a storm! I find myself collecting unusual cookie and dessert recipes throughout the year and when Christmas season comes around, I want to try them all. Each year I make an assortment of cookies and small loaf breads and put them in tins and gift bags, add some snowman soup (Chocolate recipe below) and pass them out to my neighbors on my street.  I just love the act of giving, there’s nothing like it.

This year I decided to do something a bit different. I made the cookie dough, wrapped it in wax paper and covered the dough logs with our downloadable Merry Christmas Classic holiday paper wraps, we sell in our Etsy store. We have over 20 kids on our block and I thought this way, the moms can make fresh no fuss cookies with their children. You can also tie little bags around the dough with sprinkles and small candies in them for decorating.

This is really a great gift anytime.

Wrap cookie dough and tie ribbon to ends.

Cut paper to size & wrap with patterned paper first. Tape closed.

Tape greeting paper to pattered paper.

I have been making Snowman Soup for years, the kids absolutely love this and it’s just plain instant coco! But the creative packaging is what makes it so fun.
