So, I’ve been inspired for quite some time to make my own framed chalkboard for the home. I made a quickie one on the fence in the backyard for K, but I’ve always wanted one for my dining room. I know, it’s nothing new – not some wild, “what a great idea” idea. It’s actually soooo last year or maybe even year before last. But, I FINALLY got my act together and made one. I wanted a big one, but not ginormous. I bought a frame at IKEA that has that plastic instead of glass. I wasn’t sure it would work when I realized the pane wasn’t actually glass. But, the spray chalkboard paint can, said it would work on plastic. I promised myself that this time, I would TAKE MY TIME. I never take my time. I rush all craft projects which is probably why they often come out looking like a 3rd grader made them. I think I did a pretty good job. What do you think? I think I rushed my picture taking – blech, yucky looking pictures.
