In Japan, it seems that no matter what you buy, they wrap it in something beautiful. I think this makes the item inside that much more special and I’m always impressed by beautiful wrapping. Unfortunately, I haven’t always had the pretty wrapping gene and often (most) times, I am short on time, and just toss the item in a gift bag. But, when I have the time, I like to make it special. Recently, I had the time, but not the wrapping paper – I did have, however, 12×12 scrapbooking craft paper. Each piece on its own wasn’t enough to wrap the whole item, so I grabbed a few that I thought looked pretty together and taped them together to make a big enough sheet, then wrapped the presents.
