Thanks DIYDarlin.com for this handy chart outlining easy steps to get your holiday party swinging. We’d like to add on to a few of the ideas:
If you don’t want to cater, but do want help, we highly recommend hiring a server/bartender, etc. from a party company that specializes in providing professionals for this very purpose. Here in San Diego, we used the The Party Staff, Inc. for our last Halloween party and the server was worth her weight in gold. She did so much more than just serving – she did dishes, guided guests where to put their food, coats, etc., emptied the trash, updated food on the food table and removed empty dishes and glassware that were left around.
I like the idea of making sure there is enough seating, but also, there’s no need to have seating for every guest unless you’re having a sit down dinner. If a cocktail party with appetizers is what you’re having, then have conversation groupings of seating and maybe some high tables where people can stand and put their drinks while nibbling and chatting.
Hand towel (Plus extras) in the bathroom is a must. Also, set out in a basket extra toilet paper and bathroom spray so guests don’t have to go searching when the roll is empty. Also, light a candle to keep the bathroom smelling fresh all night long.
Again, we’d like to thank DIYDarlin.com for taking the time to write this guest post for all of us. Happy Holidays!!!!
