Your LifEvents Real Wedding/Event Submission Guidelines:
If you would like to submit a Real Wedding or Event for consideration on Your LifEvents, we’d love to hear from you! Here’s the 411 you need to know in order to catch our attention:
For Real People:
Please sign up to be a contributing Blogger on YourLifEvents by emailing me the pertinent information for your wedding or event. Once received, I will review your submission. Please remember to include & consider the following information:
1. Your 411: Bride’s name, Groom’s name, Date and location of the wedding or event. Your relation to the wedding or event (i.e., Bride, Groom, Mom of the Bride). Or, Honored Guest’s name (i.e. birthday boy/girl); your name and relation to the honored guest.
2. Wedding/Event 411: Tell us all about your plans, your vision, special or personalized details you used (we especially love ways you incorporated your loved ones – from family to friends to pets), any DIY projects you created (incl. detailed instructions and pictures if possible). The more you give us, the better for us to blog about you and your Big Day.
3. Photo 411: Please email us images (no more than 25 please) that best highlight your big day. We especially love detail shots of some of the special/personalized details you describe in your Wedding/Event 411. Please send .jpg images or if you send us a link to your online portfolio, be sure that we can save them directly from the site.
4. Vendor 411: Please include a list of vendors (with email or website) that you would like to be credited. In order for your Real Wedding or Event to be considered for publication, we must receive a photography credit (name is sufficient, but including the email or website is a nice gesture to your photographer).
Are we a good match?
Our readers are youthful (not to be confused with young in age), fresh, trendy, contemporary, love a boutique/vintage/shabby chic, hand-crafted style. They are eco-friendly, open-minded, bohemian, offbeat, creative types. They are tech savvy, modern, corporate types with an inner fashionista. They are geeky, fun-loving, hard working types who know pretty when they see it. Our readers know and love quality, are willing to get their hands a little dirty to make it or know when to cry uncle and pay for it.
Please submit your wedding or party to us if it falls into any of the following categories, we would LOVE to hear from you:
DIY Inspired: We love to see projects that you crafted for your special day. Anything that showcases your personality or style really makes our hearts go pitter patter. Make sure to include step-by-step instructions (with photos of each step if possible) and a picture of the final product for each DIY project that you would like to submit for consideration.
Budget Friendly: Did you throw a super thrifty and chic wedding or event? Show us and everyone else what you did, how you did it and whether each thing you did you would do again. We’re looking for fun, easy on the pocketbook, easy on our creative talent and especially easy on our eyes projects.
Contemporary Boutique: Are you the couple who lives for the modern simplicity of life? Did you throw your wedding or event in a cool artsy space like an art gallery, loft, modern museum, or hip restaurant? Submit it to us, we’d love to see it!
Vintage/Shabby Chic Boutique: If you had a wedding or event that was filled with vintage charm, hand-crafted chic, and youthful, sweet & whimsical touches…don’t dilly dally – submit it to us, we really want to see it! Mason jars used as drinking glasses for a garden wedding, lanterns and chandeliers hanging from trees, hand-made lavender favors – these are a few of our favorite things.
Ethnic/Cultural: We love to see how you infuse your ethnicity or culture into your wedding or event. From a German log saw at the end of the ceremony to a Japanese Tea Ceremony, share with us and our readers how you infused culture into your wedding or event.
Don’t be scared to submit. Whenever I’ve been fearful of asking something, I’ve always thought, “the worst that can happen is they say No”. If you’re just not sure whether your wedding or event fits with what I’m looking for, don’t worry and don’t be shy – I appreciate a wide variety of styles, yours might be the one I’ve been waiting for. And, don’t shy away because I’ve listed all these ‘rules’ – I try to be thorough in what I’d like from you, but if you feel overwhelmed, just submit what you have – I swear, I’m nice. Please be patient though, along with writing daily, creating projects and researching (oh and working full-time, being a Mom and a wife), I have to filter through and respond to 100’s of emails daily. If you haven’t heard from me in a month, please feel free to shoot me a quick email for status.
Please note: Please let us know if you’re submitting your wedding or event to any other blog or magazine. At this time, we’re not opposed to publishing your content, but we may have further questions as to how your content is being used by the other entity.

Hello Admin,
This is Jason. I am a professional blogger and loves to write on various financial topics. I’m writing to you because I want to take my author identity to the next level by supplying informative articles to personal finance bloggers. I would hereby like to request an opportunity to write a guest post on your site, ofcourse free of charge. You can send me your preferred topic, if any, and I would be happy to write an article on it. I can show you some of my past work that have attracted good number of visitors.
I must say, you are doing a great job on with your blog .
I would be happy if you could answer either way!

Hi Linda,
Best wishes on your engagement. I’m sorry, but we can only price our services by meeting in person, or at least having a conversation on the phone. In general though, ‘day of’ service starts at $1500 and is generally more of a ‘two week’ service. I am happy to provide tips, advice and inspiration for weddings and events on this blog, so please feel free to ask me any questions and I will do my best to help you.
Best,
Shauna
