Disclosure Policy

The Federal Trade Commission (F.T.C.) requires that we disclose any relationship I have between a product manufacturer and/or service provider when I write about a product or service.

Here are the guidelines we operate under at

We are never paid by anyone, individual or company to do a review on their behalf.  We have never accepted money to review a product or service, but if we did it would be with the understanding that the review would be an honest and authentic review – good or bad. We invest our own time to review and test products. We pay out of our own pocket the cost to produce any videos, pictures or blog posts we make about products.

We don’t always pay for the products we test. Sometimes they are sent to us by the manufacturer. Rarely do we request a product. In almost all cases, the manufacturer approaches us first via email.

If we feel it’s a product our readers might get benefit from, and it fits into our business model, then we request they send us the product.

It is seldom that we return the products after we test them. We are two individuals and so don’t have the staff or the resources to process the return of the products. That is made clear to manufacturers when we agree to a product test/review

If we create a link from my website to a product in a review we have undertaken, sometimes we may get paid a commission if you purchase the product or service. Other times we may not get paid, such are the intricacies of online tracking of purchases, but it is always my intention to place customers with suppliers and to be paid for doing so .

These are good rules and practices in today’s digital world, rules we fully endorse and adhere to in a clear and transparent manner. We see it as important for you as a consumer to understand the relationship, if any, between a person reviewing the product and the manufacturer or service provider. If you don’t see a disclosure policy as part of a review of a product, that reviewer could well be violating the law or at the very least the Code of Ethics.

Thank you for taking the time to read our affiliate trading disclosure. Enjoy your time @ YourLifEvents.
